A Grockling We Will Go
Feb 27th, 2005 by Omally

Gordon Bennett! I’m reet knackered, me. Having spent the day in the illustrious company of two other Grockles* (as well as other smashing chummingtons) I think it’s time I went to bed. Good grief, is it that early still? Hmmm. I think hills are not good for my night-owl habits.
More ‘pon the morrow.

*Yes, geocaching. Also, and happily, I hasten to add, much beer was consumed. Huzzah!

Double Plus Good
Feb 26th, 2005 by Omally

I got up at some time this not-especially-sunny morn’, long about ummm, 11ish (I think) and decided to have a bit of a tidy up. Whilst slumped delicately at my computer, a-sipping at my morning-strength coffee, I hastily scribbled a list of Things To Do/Obtain Today. I managed to complete some of my tasks, the most important being:

Get Beer, Bacon, Sossies, Bread, Beans, Milk, new starter wotsit for kitchen light*, new screw-on thingy for to enmendify Bog**.
Enmendify Bog
Clean Bog
Clean Kitchen

Now I’m watching ‘1984′ and feeling rather grateful that we’re able to loudly proclaim all sorts of wonderfully emotive things when the fancy takes us, such as:

‘Bliar is a complete bastard and should be ashamed’
‘Ah, isn’t it a lovely sunny day today? I think I’ll go geocaching with some chums and then get horrendously drunk afterwards whilst listening to some nice loud music’
[singing] ‘High on a hill is a load of goat-turd, odelayee odelayee odelayee-oooooooooo’
‘Oooh! Look! A shiny thing!’
and so on.

*Which still hasn’t fixed my kitchen light. Yes, it’s the right wattage. I think it’s safe to say the light is still on the blink.
**Took about a minute to fix, and now my bog works perfickly. I daresay I’m feeling flushed with success.

Shoeburyness

Right. That’s one work-project over and done with now. I can sort of relax a bit. I’ve never organised a conference before, and I don’t intend to organise another one soon (unless I get ‘asked’ to of course). Still, bits of it were fun and it was certainly nice to have a valid excuse to not be in the office for a few days :)

On a much more interesting note, I am not a shoe. True fact.
