Today, with the help of chummington Adam, I christened my new fork and spade wot I bought: We went to the allotment and, using twine and sticks, marked out the plot into beds and paths.
Here’s our plan:

The bunch of flowers were left by the widow of the old gent who had the plot before me. They’re a bit old now but I’ve decided to leave them for the time being out of respect.
Here’s what the plot loks like in real life:

It’s marvellously therapuetic: Ads and I chatted about, aha, cabbages and kings whilst we toiled at our labours, then wandered back up the hill to home to see what Tammy and Kimmy were up to. Splendid.
I’m just going through the seed catalogue tonight and I’ll put in my order next sunday. I also get a big sack of seed potatoes for nix! So far, I’m going to get Pak Choi, Radishes, Runner Beans and Leeks. Oh, and Garlic and Onions also because I can plant them now ready for next year. There are many more seeds I can get, as well as fruit bushes: think I’ll try Gooseberries for a start. Strawberries I can’t be arsed with but there may well be others I can try.
Talking of Gooseberries, Bez is having his snipped off tomorrow. About bloody time, too.
‹Looks forward to feeling slightly achy tomorrow›
