An Extra Sunday
Jan 28th, 2007 by Omally

That’s what today feels like, y’know. I took Friday off for to go caching around London with me good chummingtons HiTek and Pharisee, followed by a rather splendid pub-meet with a load of other Geocachers. Marvellous! Just a shame the MonGmeet couldn’t be on another day, but never mind :)

Now, I’m not all that interested in taking touristic photos, I much prefer to grab my camera when I see something exotic, amusing or surreal:

I was giggling somewhat as I could hear (in my imagination) a broad London accent reading this notice:

And St Paul’s Cathedral *is* still there, although development all around may hide it so very well these days. Here’s an almost voyeuristic glimpse of the dome:

Here’s a church near to a cache we did after kicking-out time at the pub. The only reason for doing this cache was that HiTek was concerned about being stuck at 666 caches so insisted on finding one more…

And this little scrote was after my nuts earlier in the day. Squirrels are fearless, at least in London parks.

Britain, Britain, Britain: It’s amazing what you see when you look up (as the actress said to the Bishop)

Back To Work
Jan 23rd, 2007 by Omally

Aha! See what I did there? :)

So, that’s quite enough of laying on my back on the lovely snuggly new carpet at home. A very boring activity, not high on my ‘Things To Do Before I Die’ list. Not on there at all, in fact. Djoo know, I don’t even have such a list? I’d much rather just enjoy life whilst I still have it, I guess.

Anyway, my return to work was celebrated by having lots of luffly Belgian beer delivered in a gert big hamper right to my desk. I love these little surprises! Alright, it wasn’t all for me (it never is) but hey: half a dozen bottles of Leffe are to be very much appreciated by T and I :)

This is annoying. I’m stuck at home with a knackered back from moving a storage heater yeterday whilst carpet-laying. To fill up my day (yeah, like I can lay on my back on the floor for hours and do nothing!) I have been peeling taters for tea, yelling at teh naughty fluffehs and persuading a wifi sd card to work with Tammy’s pocket pc.
Must have worked cos I’m blogging on it now! Hurrah!

Now I’m going to watch daytime t.v from my painful eyrie on the floor. At least, with the new carpet, the floor is actually comfy.
