Working part-time for a freindly little firm consisting of only 8 people has its advantages. Only this week I was given a free hedge-cutter that had been rescued from a skip 6 months ago.
W00t! Alright, so it doesn’t quite work properly (the motor runs but the blades don’t move) but I may be able to get that fixed then I can help attack next-doors’ triffid-like bamboo crop. Honestly, who in their right mind plants bamboo without first making sure it’s securely potted? Anyway, I digress.
The Trimmer now takes pride of place in my shed, seeing as it’s the best power-tool I’ve ever had.
Sheds are great, aren’t they? Sanctum Sanctorum and all that. I much prefer having afternoon time to potter and rummage and plot and stuff than being… Stuck in a boring office job like I was until a couple of months ago? Like to read good literature but are scared of getting caught and ‘disciplined’? You need to Read At Work!
Of course, one should always keep a close eye on the weather when pottering in one’s shed. Perhaps not that close, though. Only in America, eh?

Can’t say the same for me Tomatoes though; this is one of 4 plants left out of 15…
Rhubarb is doing alright too, think I’ll start forcing it soon though.
